Rockpanel loves to be beside the seaside, beside the sea

Trinity Homes fulfilled the role of Principle Designer and Main Contractor for the project, quantity surveyor Daniel McAllister, of the firm, spoke about its decision to use Rockpanel, “We were looking for a cost-effective  facade which could deliver a metallic finish, while meeting the highest fire safety regulations and being able to withstand the conditions it would be subjected to on this exposed, coastal site. Rockpanel has fulfilled these criteria and delivered a precision facade which matches our vision.”

Rockpanel derives its unique properties from the core of stone wool used in its manufacture. The compressed natural basalt is a sustainable and readily available volcanic rock, which is bonded with an organic binder to deliver a highly resilient, weather, temperature and UV resistant facade, which remains virtually maintenance-free throughout its long life.

Light and easy, bright and breezy

The lightweight panels are easy to cut on site without the need to seal edges – making installation time efficient and cost effective. And when it might be time to remove the facade, the panels can be fully recycled to make new ROCKWOOL products with no loss of quality.

Specialists CSW Cladding were responsible for installation of the facade. CSW Pre-Construction Manager Sam Keyte, “We’ve worked with Rockpanel several times. Our team say its panels are easy to work with on-site and we know all concerned are very pleased with the completed work. Should it be needed, advice and support is quickly on hand from Rockpanel, which is much appreciated.”
