Facade panels capture the spotlight, day and night

The office building really draws attention from the motorway. Not only because of its colour, but also thanks to the coloured aluminium rail that is installed around the orange facade and which contains LED lighting.

“While the orange colour of the office building acts as a super eye-catcher during the day, the LED light ensures that the building is also visible at night. This way, the building enlivens the landscape both day and night”, says Peter Stig Jørgensen, construction manager at NJ Gruppen, the construction company responsible for construction of the building. “We opted for facade boards from Rockpanel, because they were able to deliver the cladding in a specific RAL colour. We were looking for a robust, high-quality facade board at a reasonable price, but it was not easy to find a supplier who could also supply the desired colour.”

This may explain why Rockpanel is experiencing a high demand for colours that are not included in the standard range. According to the company's architectural consultant Anette Løff Hornung, the reason is that the possibility to choose a specific colour helps to enhance the visibility of the company: “We often get enquiries from companies who want to use the colours of their logo on the facade. Mazak's new office building demonstrates very well how our Rockpanel Colours series cannot only help in making the architecture stand out. When the panels are supplied in specific colours, as was the case here, it really helps to communicate the company's identity.

While the orange panels face the motorway, a more subdued look is adopted at the rear of the building, where white coloured panels are applied. These white panels are also used at various locations inside the building.
