The boards a low-maintenance and have an officially confirmed lifetime of minimum 50 years – and after that, they can be fully recycled. A perfect match of old and new in the heart of Bruges

As this hotel had continued to expand over the years and as it used to heat up strongly in the summer, the new owners decided to go for a thourough makeover. The light stone-look panels, fixed with an adhesive function, gave the hotel a visual upgrade, while virtually no maintenance will be required for the years to come.

Belle Vue Brewery in Brussels: from old beer brewery to modern hotel centre

In the middle of Brussels, close to the Brussels canal, you’ll find a building that combines centuries of history with innovation. What used to be beer brewery Belle Vue, is now a hotel and restaurant centre, of which Hotel Belvue, Belgium’s first fully passive hotel is a major part. Rockpanel Ply was chosen for the facade, as it enabled to have every possible colour tone there is.

A modern house with a fresh, sleek appearance

This modern house with a beautiful light look was only built in 2010. As the original finish of decorative plaster upon insulation caused some problems, it was reclad with Rockpanel Colours boards, which could be installed with very narrow joints, thanks to the dimensional stability.

Vocational school in Nordhorn undergoes a true facelift

A thorough renovation made this school in Germany in futureproof. In terms of health - replacing old fibre cement boards containing asbestos - and fire safety, but also aesthetically. The building is no longer a heavy concrete block, but has transformed into a light modern attractive building.

Special needs school with a playful, child-friendly facade

Gorgeous green facade boards give this school a fresh and cheerful look. The original building was both renovated and extended, making room for pupils. By lifting the extended parts of the school, there's plenty of room to play outside.

Haute Couture in housing: colourful façade cladding in Hannover

In 2012, housing corporation Gartenheim redeveloped a multi-family house, which was built in 1957. Before the renovation, the façades were plastered in a light-beige colour. But not anymore! ‘Haute Couture’, as the multi-unit house in Hannover (Germany) was named, now bursts with colour.

Facade renovation transforms apartment blocks in Roskilde

Housing cooperation A / B Tårnparken has renovated three apartment blocks in Roskilde (Denmark). During a complete facade renovation, the old peeling plaster was replaced by modern facade panels. The apartment blocks, which have also undergone energy optimization, have been equipped with robust Rockpanel Colours boards that ensure a long lifetime and low maintenance. In addition to the visual upgrade of the apartment blocks, the result is lower operating costs and better energy accounts.

In France, the traditional way of creating firesafe buildings is with 'bavettes': a local type of firestops that place a strong, usually less desired mark on the look of a building. The renovation of four gallery flats in Haarlem (the Netherlands) proves that it is possible to fully integrate old flats into a modern facade vision. The facades were created with Rockpanel Chameleon, an extravagant panel that creates a different colour effect from every angle. The old facade panels were given a second life thanks to Rockcycle®, ROCKWOOL's extensive recycling service.

Hotel Årjäng's facade gets a boost with colour, art and sustainable materials

If you need to renovate a facade, you might as well go for a complete makeover. For Hotel Årjäng in Sweden, this was the case. The old plastered facade was replaced with durable facade panels from Rockpanel, featuring artwork with local roots. The hotel building was made even more futureproof by the addition of solar panels.

Eyot House was renovated to fulfill new stringent fire safety requirements.
